For those of y’all that are new to my blog, I want to preface this review by letting y’all know that I DO NOT sell Mary Kay or make any kind of money/benefits from writing this review. My reviews are purely for my audience to have a real life review from a real life person.
If you have looked through my other reviews or follow me on social media (@veronicahermes_ if you want to follow me), you will know I am OBSESSED with Mary Kay’s black charcoal mask. You can read that review here.
Mary Kay came out with another product- the Timewise Repair Lifting Bio-Cellulose Mask.
The mask is made from a pure, plant-based material derived from coconut water. Its interlocking fibers form a highly absorbent, three-dimensional “fabric,” allowing the mask to be generously infused with a complex of beneficial ingredients. This complex includes oat kernel extract, orchid extract and sodium hyaluronate, known for its skin-conditioning benefits.
The instructions recommend to leave it on for 20-30 minutes. This worried me because I wasn’t sure if I could get the kids ready for bed without the mask falling off my face. To my surprise, it adhered to my face so well I could pop, lock, and drop it without this bad boy sliding off.
I immediately noticed the mask has a cooling effect and all I could think about was how amazing it would feel on a sun burnt face.
After taking the mask off, the instructions state to throw the mask away and massage the leftover moisture into your face.
End results: my face was SUPER SOFT AND SUPER hydrated.
Fortunately for me, my face is pretty moisturized to begin with so I’ll be honest and say I probably wouldn’t use this mask again until summer time when my face gets burnt. I would, however, definitely recommend this mask to someone with dry skin.
I have seen a few people complain about the price. Yes, the price is a bit steep ($70 for a 4 pack which is $17.50 per mask) but I personally don’t put a price on stuff when it comes to beauty products. I’m sure that sounds super privileged of me but I would eat rice and beans for a full month (AKA no Whataburger and Y’ALL KNOW how much I love my Whataburger) in order to afford pricey beauty products that work.
As I stated before, I do not sell Mary Kay products but if you’re interested in trying the Bio-Cellulose Mask or any other Mary Kay products (seriously, y’all need to try the Charcoal Mask), you can search the Mary Kay website for reps in your area. OR if you want someone that isn’t pushy and annoying, you are more than welcome to order through my personal “plug” here.
